Rainbow Bridge

The “Rainbow Bridge”  was a free concert by Jimi Hendrix who died a few months later. It was held on July 30, 1970, in a horse pasture  on slopes of Haleakala Volcano in Maui.  A trippy LSD inspired film was released in ’72 featuring plenty of  psychedelic  imagery, surfing mixed with live Hendrix footage.Surfers included Barry K, Herbie Fletcher and David Nuuhiwa and appearances from Mike Hyson and The Brotherhood of Love including a scene where smuggled drugs are taken from the inside of a surfboard.
